Genesis Valor is a North Carolina housing organization serving Raleigh, Wendell and surrounding Wake County communities. We provide affordable supportive housing for individuals working to overcome housing instability and successfully reintegrate into the community.

Genesis Valor was founded in Raleigh NC and exists to provide long-term, affordable housing and wraparound support services that empower individuals to break the cycle of instability and build self-sufficient lives. We go beyond shelter — offering community connection, resource navigation, and a clear path toward lasting independence.

Founding story
Why Genesis Valor Exists
Genesis Valor was born from a firsthand understanding of the challenges individuals face when transitioning back to the community. Our founders witnessed too many people fall through the cracks — struggling to find affordable housing, lacking support systems, and facing a society that wasn't built to help them succeed.
The name says it all: Genesis — a new beginning. Valor — the courage it takes to face adversity and the strength it takes to rebuild. We created Genesis Valor to be the bridge between hardship and lasting stability.
Today, we work tirelessly to connect individuals with safe, affordable long-term housing and the wraparound services that make real, lasting change possible. Every person we house is a mission accomplished — and a cycle broken.

Joseph Vide co-founded Genesis Valor with deep roots in community advocacy and a personal commitment to ensuring no one is left without a path forward. He leads the organization's mission, partnerships, and strategic direction.

Yvonne Winters brings years of experience in affordable housing development to Genesis Valor. She oversees housing placement, community partnerships, and long-term resident support — ensuring every resident has what they need to thrive.
